New York City, Baby!

After four years living and working abroad, I can think of no better city to help with our re-Americanization upon our return to the States than the Big Apple herself.  New York City is the stuff of dreams and legends.  A place where Louis Vuittons and tourist sneakers strut the same streets as all those immigrants who passed through Ellis Island and helped to make this country as colorful and exciting as it is today. It's a place where you can get anything at anytime, and with just about anyone you can imagine.

It can be argued that there is no better way to see NYC than to eat your way through the city (as just about every nation and culture in the world is, after all, represented there), and we'll definitely have to concur with that!  Good thing we had a hefty dose of running to do while there; being in training for a marathon took us on some magnificent runs through Central Park, across the Brooklyn Bridge and around Brooklyn, and through the Bowery and the Lower East Side, which really gave us access to the irresistible local pulse that makes up the "gateway" to America.  This is New York City, baby!
