La Gente de la Havana

Travel isn't just about seeing sights, but about the people you encounter and the personal connections you make.  I'll admit, speaking Spanish definitely helped us to enjoy a little more of these experiences in Havana than we might have had otherwise, but it still holds true that a smile is the international language (especially when wielding a big, ol' camera in people's faces).  It's often been said that one of Cuba's richest treasures is its people, and we couldn't agree more!
